Yesterday was a nice day. :) I woke up early for my piano lesson but in the end it was cancelled so I played with my dog instead. He is like the cutest thing on earth! :D Except he's rather big, so he likes to jump. Then I did some chem and one maths paper. Now there's a squirrel outside my window. In the evening I went walking with my dad and my dog. I can't walk my dog alone cause I'll be flying after him most of the time. My dad's the only one strong enough to control him. :\ We walked near the ministry of foreign affairs and into this "secret path" (according to my dad) that connects to tanglin village! I really love that place. Apparently it used to be an army camp, but now they've changed it into a "village" of sorts, with nice-looking restaurants and quaint little shops and even a spa. Even the signboards are nice! I love the ambiance there, it just feels cosy. Even though there're still some empty barracks here and there. (I wouldn't want to walk there at night :S) Anyways. I'm starting to get really irritated at the 7pm show on channel U, cause a) the lead character is irritating, b) the guy who likes her is irritating, c) her cousin is irritating, d) her grandmother is the most annoying character there, and e) basically I'm finding everyone in the show irritating except for the lead's husband, who just happens to be dead in the show right now, since he was killed off in an accident in one of the first few episodes of the show. At first I quite liked the show, but ever since it started into the so-called "sad bits" it's starting to get on my nerves. I call it a downward spiral. And really, I don't understand WHY most of the characters think a kidney transplant is like some unspoken evil and it's an operation that the lead shouldn't go through. I mean, we normally only function on one kidney anyways, better give the other kidney to someone who really needs it right? And the kidney is for her biological mother! I don't care if her mother ran away when she was young, it's still her mother! And frankly, it's not her mother's fault for running away in the first place, it was her grandmother's fault for being so mean that made her mother run away. This is where the grandmother annoys me, cause she thinks everyone else except herself is wrong, and she still doesn't see that it was her cruelty towards her daughter-in-law (lead's mother) that made her daughter-in-law run away. And now the daughter-in-law is like a taboo topic with her, and that's such rubbish. Now I'm angrier cause once everyone finds out that she's agreed to the kidney transplant, they're all going to scold her. It's not even her fault! They all keep saying that the kidney transplant is inhumane, etc. But in actual fact, they're the ones being inhumane by trying to keep the lead from donating her kidney to her mother - who would die without a kidney transplant. Also, most of them don't know the actual story (I hate dramatic irony) so they all don't have the right to stop her. The world would be a better place if everyone in the show just committed suicide. Heck, I'll probably be a happier person. It'll be even better if I could go inside the TV, wield some huge sword and just chop everyone's head off. Of course I only act like this for TV shows. It's cause I can't control what goes on, so all I can do is sit there and complain. The thing I can do is try and smash the TV. But my family wouldn't be too happy about that. I know the question here is: why am I still watching the show? Cause I'm waiting (albeit impatiently) for the time when this issue finally gets resolved. Then everything will be nice and happy. For now, all I can do is threaten all their miserable little fictional lives. And don't ask me to watch channel 8 shows, cause I watched a bit of the 9pm channel 8 show and the acting was so stiff I immediately stopped watching it. Hahaha, I'm probably like this cause that time of the month is coming. (It's late, btw >:\) But seriously. |
